Angel Wing's Reflection

Angel Wing had just ran back to the manor after yet another battle. This voice in her head wouldn't shut up about her friend betraying her and hating her. Why was she hearing this voice? Why wouldn't it just go away?

She quickly ran into the nearest bathroom and locked the door. She turned on the sink and splashed some cool water onto her face. She turned off the sink and grabbed a nearby towel to dry off her face. She glanced at the mirror for second, only to cause her to drop her towel in alarm. In the mirror was Dark Wing, her evil self.

"What do you want? Haven't you caused me enough damage already?!" Angel Wing screamed.

"Oh Angel Wing. You're in distress. What's bothering you?" Dark Wing asked in the mirror.

"You. You won't just go and leave me alone. Why won't you just go and leave me alone?!" screamed Angel Wing.

"You don't understand why I am here, Angel Wing. Remember what I told you already?"

"That everyone hates me. That isn't true. You just want to make them all suffer!"

"They've hurt you Angel Wing. I just want to make them pay for causing you such pain and loneliness."

"They haven't done anything to me, you bitch! They have done nothing wrong at all!" Angel Wing screamed at Dark Wing.

"Angel Wing. I want you to look at me." Dark Wing commanded at Angel Wing, in which she did. "Tell me, what do you see in the mirror?"

"I see you. Evil, chaos, death."

"I am not any of those things. I am your true reflection. Don't you want to be accepted for who you truly are? Right now, you're trapped in an internal box that you can't seem to break free of. Wouldn't you like to be the perfect bride and daughter someday?"

Look at me,
I will never pass for a perfect bride,
or a perfect daughter.
Can it be, I'm not meant to play this part.
Now I see,
That if I were truly to be myself, I would break my family's heart

"But I am a perfect daughter to my mom and a good kid to the rest of my family!"

"Angel Wing, are you truly just meant to play this part of just an ordinary superhero with no special gifts of any kind?"

"I do have a gift. I can fly now thanks to Siren."

"That is true. But, let me ask you. What would happen if you were me, your true self?"

"I...I...I would hurt everyone. Break all of their hearts."

Who is that girl I see
Staring straight, back at me
Why is my reflection someone I don't know
Somehow I cannot hide, who I am
though I've tried.
When will my reflection show who I am inside.

"That is because you are scared, my dear Angel Wing. I look at you and think, 'who is that girl staring back at me? This isn't the true me.'"

"But, no one would understand me."

"You can't hide any longer who you truly are. You will became me soon and we will make your so called friends pay for their crimes against us!"

"But...I just can't just go and hurt them!"

"After how they hurt you? Laughed at you? I just want to make them understand the pain they caused you."

"Please. Just go away, please!" Angel Wing screamed as she held her head.

"I just want to help you, Angel Wing."

"GO AWAY!" Angel Wing screamed as she picked up a nearby hairbrush and through it at the mirror, causing it to shatter. "Please...just leave me alone."

When will my reflection show who I am inside.
